Haya Alghanim is a filmmaker and the founder of New Arab Cinema. She holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University and BA from The New School. Her work has been shown at various film festivals, exhibition venues, and institutions, including the Sharjah Art Foundation, Misk Art Institute, the Arab American National Museum, and more. She is currently on the marketing teams of Kino Lorber, a leading international film distributor, and Visibility Films, a newly-launched production and distribution company by Emmy®-nominated filmmaker Cherien Dabis. Haya has contributed to the North American releases and marketing campaigns of acclaimed titles including the Oscar®-nominated “Four Daughters” and “Soundtrack to a Coup d’État”, as well as the shortlisted “From Ground Zero”.
