Dr. Al-Ibrahim is a Ph.D. holder in civil engineering. She earned her Ph.D. degree from North Carolina State University. She is currently a faculty member at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University since February 2006. In addition to her teaching position, she held the position of the assistant director for the construction program responsible for supervising the construction of the new Kuwait University campus in Shedadeya from February 2013 till February 2022. Dr. Anwar has also worked as the assistant vice dean for planning at Kuwait University from 2008 till 2010.
